Information overload.

I went to Filipinas Heritage Library today for some research. After a few hours my brain stopped working so I had stuff photocopied for lots of home reading.

It was raining when I stepped out of the library so I decided to wait it out a bit. I didn't want to get P200 worth of photocopied material wet. KF was outside waiting for her workshoppers to arrive. She asked me if I wanted to tag along with her group to Fat Michael's which sounded like an interesting place to eat at. I was hungry so I did.

I was glad I went because the food was great, the place was homey, and the travel writing workshop was interesting. I didn't drink tho (except for water and some red wine), and I didn't mind. Talk was more inebriating. ;-)

It was a refreshing change in schedule. (The brainless life is sometimes a drag-- although it's less stressful at times. Hahaha.)

New Worlds Alliance Payday.

NWA Caption Contest

Bum mode.

Party mode: Wilmer's party was fun! Lush courtesy of Coleman. ;-)

Geek mode: Last weekend I played online Quidditch, and attended my second geek meeting. I've been busy beating Orisinal high scores, too. Heheh.

Movie marathon mode: I'm down to the last of five flicks I borrowed (my second batch) from the video shop. I'm catching up on some Stephen Chow stuff, and watched stuff I've seen countless times.

Bootleg mode: I'm currently on a download spree, having discovered a gold mine of rare stuff. (Ha! I'm not telling where! Hehe... But I'll gladly give you something you might like if you ask me nicely.) I still have several URLs to go, so I'm leaving this puter on while I watch Kung Fu Hustle.

Research/Work mode: That's tomorrow. I promise. :-P

Toxic mode: Hmmm... Later this week, most probably. (T_T)

Pocketful of stars.

First time I played this Orisinal game, I didn't even make it past 1000 points. I tried playing this again last night and ended up playing for two hours straight! :-P

Hee. (n_n)

Chin and I watched SPIT perform at Magnet Katipunan last Thursday. Sumakit na naman ang panga ko sa katatawa! I wanna go watch them again next Thursday. Sama ka? ;-)

Zarah, kasalanan mo ito...

I just spent the entire afternoon and evening solving sudoku puzzles.

Pati 'yung samurai sudoku pinatulan ko (at natapos ko with a few hints!). Magpaka-nerd ba daw. (o_O)

Enough na! Matutulog na ako. :-P

Ay.

May blog pala ako! :-P Shame shame on me for ignoring this for a long time.

So what have I been up to lately, you ask? A bunch of random things:

  1. I have just recovered from a recent attack of asthma and a two-and-a-half day fever.
  2. At dahil patapos na ang hika, happy new year na ang ubo ko.
  3. I was supposed to be at the beach right now with Guia, if it weren't for 1 and 2.
  4. I'm planning another beach trip for next month. I hope it pushes through.
  5. I borrowed movies from the video shop again.
  6. I discovered just now a very young Sean Astin was in The Goonies (one of my favorite movies when I was a kid haha).
  7. I finally saw Mida & Benj's beautiful three-year old Sofie a couple of weekends ago.
  8. I was partly responsible for Sofie's sugar high that Sunday night.
  9. Cinema-lush: Kathy and I took turns sipping vodka while we watched Raya Martin's Maicling pelicula naƱg indio nacional (O Ang Mahabang Kalungkutan ng Katagalugan).
  10. My dad's been sending me annoying SMS since he learned of my mobile number.
  11. Paid Thor a visit at the office during one of my errand runs.
  12. I am no longer art directing a comic book for young girls.
  13. A couple of unknown fuckers charged their operator-assisted calls on my landline bill while said landline was dead and out of service.
  14. My landline's dialtone disappears whenever the phone's idle.
  15. I am tempted to switch landline operators. (See 13 and 14.)
  16. Na-starstruck ako sa Greenbelt 3 parking lot while walking alongside Angel Locsin (hot) and Oyoboy (bleh).
  17. A couple of weeks ago Liza and I went on a free tour of Marikina museums and exhibit spaces (courtesy of the culture and arts desk of the City Hall): Teatro Marikina, the Shoe Museum, the Doll Museum, the Mininatures Museum (featuring the amazing miniaturework of Aleli Vengua), the Belen Museum, and Kapitan Moy (Sentrong Pangkultura ng Marikina).
  18. On that same day, I discovered a (not so new) restaurant near Kapitan Moy: Krung Thai. Mmmmm good!
  19. Ang I.N.K. will be having a touring exhibit this coming August (One Workshop, Makati; Riverbanks Mall; & Kapitan Moy).
  20. Watch out for our upcoming book, too. (Details of 19 & 20 to be announced soon.)
  21. On the way to the MRT once, I saw a bakery called BREAD PIT along P. Tuazon Avenue. Nico's officemate saw a fitness shop somewhere in Ilocos called GYM CARRY. Dalawa pa raw 'yung branches. :-P
  22. I finally finished an NGO manual, something which took up a lot of my time. YAY.
  23. I've been doodling here and there, hoping that inspiration will strike once more.
  24. I have, more or less, accepted my geekhood. Hehehe.

Ahhh. Less stress, more time. I've set new goals (again) for myself. Let's see if I can make things happen. Wish me luck. ;-)
