I dream of womanhood.

A rediscovered practice vector piece from five years ago, very slightly edited. It's best not to touch something like this without knowing what to do with it.

For this week's Illustration Friday topic.

*****

A more appropriate entry would be my piece from the Meme Na exhibit last year, "To ride with wild horses". But I don't have a digital copy of that, and the original is still at the CCP. :-P

At first I was afraid, I was petrified...

But no. Heh heh heh...

How to be good.

I just finished reading Nick Hornby's How To Be Good. It's a quick read, considering I've only started on it two days ago, picking it up only when I get ready for bed and for a short while before getting up in the morning/afternoon (depends what time I wake up heh heh).

There is so much internal debate and self-contradiction in this book. I like it. And there's even a cameo from High Fidelity. :-)

(I like it when authors make cross-references in their bodies of work. It doesn't rub off me as masturbatory. It's more like a little private joke reserved for the fan or the avid reader. Heh heh...)

*****

The Post-Its are beginning to dominate my desktop. I must at least get rid of one of them today. :-P

Audio heaven.

I'm listening to/semi-watching the newly purchased Stone Roses DVD. It's the only thing that's keeping me awake right now. I haven't been sleeping well due to my very harassing work schedule.

*****

Today I've been trying to finish my 17" x 24" artwork. (I'm not even half way done yet.) I had to stop and leave for a meeting today at Metrowalk.

During the meeting I was distracted by Karen who handed me three audio cds worth of Neil Gaiman reading Coraline. Woohoo! I don't remember what else transpired during the meeting. Heh heh... ;-P

I was already free by 6:30 p.m. so I told Nico I'll be going to their insta-gig tonight (Forgetting Luna). I checked out the DVDs at the second floor tiangge area to pass the time (and drain my wallet). I bought a copy of Il Mare (finally), and a bunch of music DVDs (another Manic Street Preachers DVD, Ben Folds Five, Pixies and the one I'm listening to now). I also got the Bomberman collection on PS2 for Nico.

*****

Despite technical difficulties (read: crap equipment), Nico's gig went well. Or at least I enjoyed it. I miss watching him play at gigs.

*****

I got pasalubong from Nico's parents! Souvenirs from their Grand Canyon trip, and a nice girly Fossil wallet. I'm debating whether I should transfer all my wallet junk (wala kasing pera madalas hahaha) to this new one, or use it after my almost two-year old wallet (also from Nico's parents) falls apart (which, judging from the way it looks now, won't happen in the next few months). Hmmm...

*****

I haven't been walking (as in brisk walking) for more than a week already, but I feel that last weekend's art contest and yesterday's egress at Riverbanks more than compensates for my lack of exercise. Feeling kargadora ako kagabi. It was a real workout. (Apat lang kasi kaming nag-pull out ng exhibit noh! Kainis.) :-P

*****

DVD's about to end. Time to call it a day. :-P

Love is the crooked thing.

I WHISPERED, "I am too young,"
And then, "I am old enough;"
Wherefore I threw a penny
To find out if I might love.

"Go and love, go and love, young man,
If the lady be young and fair."
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
I am looped in the loops of her hair.

O love is the crooked thing,
There is nobody wise enough
To find out all that is in it,
For he would be thinking of love.

Till the stars had run away
And the shadows eaten the moon.
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
One cannot begin it too soon.

~Brown Penny, William Butler Yeats

Nico and I went to Marquinton, checked movie skeds, and ate a quick but satisfying dinner at Siamese Dream Grille. The food was good, the service is okay, and waiter knew how to make small talk-- not the annoying kind of scripted small talk, he was really making conversation with us. He knew we were in a hurry to see a movie, and he was helpful enough to see us through our needs.

We watched Must Love Dogs. It was a chatty sort of movie with lots of witty repartee. It's sad, and funny, and ends happy. I liked it.

I didn't even try to resist the lure of Timezone anymore. We played several rounds of basketball (I lost this time), and skeeball and a bunch of other ticket earners.

*****

I still feel tired from last Saturday but the way today was spent took a lot of the weariness away. :-)

Exhausted.

I just got home from my long Saturday. I am very tired and sleepy, but it seemes I've regained second wind.

*****

I was at Riverbanks at around 9:20 a.m. Registration was very hectic. We mostly ate on-site. (I'm starting to get sick of fast food.) I was glad Kuya Robert was there to assist with the hosting chores. And a number of Inkie volunteers showed up. And Nico was a real gem to help us out, kahit hindi naman siya member ng Ang I.n.K.

We kicked off the event with a storytelling session with Irma Adlawan. Na-starstruck kami! Hehe... (I'll post pictures as soon as I get them from Kuya Robert, Hubert and Liza. It sucks not to have a camera.)

The art contest started with 20 kids. The number of participants more than tripled come the second session. Parang mga gremlin!!! Dumami sila pagkatapos umulan. At magugulo pa! I had to fill in with the hosting in the afternoon, to keep idle kids from disrupting the ongoing contest. By late afternoon, my throat was sore, and my right shoulder and arm were in pain (I was being pulled by kids in different directions during the insta-contests and insta-workshops).

May part na masungit na ako ng slight, dahil marami talagang mga bata na pasaway. But I didn't lose my temper. Fortunately.

Ateneo Grade School and Lourdes School of QC dominated the winners list. Seeing one mother's face as her son's name was called as the first prize winner was precious. It certainly made all our efforts worth it. :-)

We finished a little before 7pm. Gutom na gutom na ako. Hindi kasi kami nakapag-merienda dahil super hectic talaga. I suggested we grab real dinner at SuperBowl Marquinton. They all agreed. Yay.

Nico and I went to check movie skeds after dinner. The rest went home. There weren't tickets available anymore for the movie we wanted to see, so we decided to hang out at Timezone instead. (There was some sort of internal debate whether I should succumb or not, but I kind of ignored it. Heh heh...)

We played several rounds of linked basketball. I won every single game over Nico! Heh heh heh... Nico tried to finish the Star Wars Trilogy game, but he ran out of credits during the last few stages. He got to beat Darth Vader though, so I think that made him happy. Heh heh...

I think Timezone was a good idea. I would've slept through a movie if we saw one. I was semi-conscious on the way home.

*****

Okay. That's it for now. Second wind is over.

Itchy and scratchy.

Fuck this stupid skin asthma. After a week and a half of bronchial problems I now have to deal with rashes all over my body. Grrr...

My mom says it must be the stress. Baka nga siguro. *sigh*

*****

Bwiset.

*****

[Edit: Thanks to Joon who helped me through the desktop recovery thing, although I don't remember what exactly I did that fixed it. Heh heh...]

Hectic!

I'm really, really tired and sleepy, but I can't go to bed until I finish some work. (I'll be out the whole day today and won't be able to work or e-mail from home.) :-P Now that I've just sent last minute revisions to my client I might as well update this blog.

*****

Monday.

I was supposed to run a bank errand for I.n.K. but lactose intolerance got the better of me. Buti na lang College Secretary si Totet at may sarili siyang banyo sa kanyang office. :-P

After temporary toilet relief, I helped fix acrylic panel framing with the other InKies. As soon as we finished more than half of the artworks, Sir Mel, Cons and I went ahead to Riverbanks for our exhibit ingress. Several other InKies came to help. We made rubber foam leaf cut outs. I had fun doing the grass and the water. We stayed until 12:30 in the morning frantically trying to finish the set up. Di pala kaya. :-P

*****

Tuesday.

I woke up very early. Made a quick trip to the bank then headed for Riverbanks. The mall was still closed when I got there but I waved my ingress ID at the guard. He let me in.

As soon as two or three others more arrived we resumed set up. We cut more multi-colored leaves and hung the rest of the rubber foam animals. Liza and I had Greco all over our fingers (I almost permanently glued my fingers together). I bought a scrapbook and turned it into an instant guestbook. When I left sometime after 2 in the afternoon we weren't even done yet.

I went home wet from the rain. I took a shower and had a change of clothes then I went back to Riverbanks. Last minute set-up panic ensued. Songs were sung, speeches were delivered, and it was all over.

[insert sigh of relief here]

The event went well, despite set-backs and last minute changes. Thanks to friends and family who made it to the exhibit opening. :-)

*****

Wednesday.

Work work work. I waded through several MBs of files and backlog e-mails.

In the evening I went back to the exhibit venue. Met up with Nico and Kathy, then we had dinner at Greenwich.

*****

Yesterday.

I tried to stay away from Timezone. I failed miserably. Heh heh...

I came from this month's Last Full Show gig a couple of hours ago. (Thank you, Jeff, for the safe ride home!) The gig was fun, but after two bottles of Strong Ice (and heavy dinner with Nico and Kathy a bit earlier) I was already feeling cold and sleepy. I went outside to thaw. After the last band's set (Blast Ople), we hung out for a bit before leaving. No more beers for me. Coke light na lang. How manang is that, huh? ;-P

Also yesterday, I finally got to submit my mug design (it's a two-color chibi-type bat) for Animalaya. (I was offline for two days eh.) Nico said the bat looked like a teddy bear. Kathy said so, too. I told them it's because it's a golden-crowned flying fox-- unlike common bats, its snout is pointed like a fox's (duh, kaya nga flying fox eh! Hehe...).

(More trivia: The flying fox is the largest bat in the world, and is endemic to the Philippines. Unfortunately, these creatures are threatened by extinction due to depletion of rainforests/illegal logging/deforestation and poaching.)

Di ko na i-upload 'yung drawing dito. Bili na lang kayo ng mugs. Hehehe... :-D

*****

Later.

I have more bank errands. Then I have to make follow-up calls to government offices. Then shopping for supplies for Saturday's art contest. It's going to be a long day. :-P

Isnow?

Hayyy... Konti na lang!!!

One whole gig.

Last night was one of those rare nights when we get to watch an entire gig -- from the very first band to the last in the lineup.

We arrived at Big Sky early (at least by 'Big Sky' standards). Out For Lunch started the gig off with some 'rock-steady ska'. They must have played a whole set, 'cause I remember finishing off most of the pica-pica we ordered (cheese squares and potato chips! Yum!) by the time they were through. I didn't mind the long set though.

Nico and I finally broke the arriving-right-after-Matilda's-set curse. Heh heh... They wore the Maria Clara skirts they used for their video shoot. Yvette was there, too, and she showed us pics of her cute baby. She and Ayn took turns on bass, and Yvette also subbed for Meh for one of the newer songs ('cause Meh couldn't remember, she's swamped with board reviews).

We got to see Narda v3.0 play as well. They sound good. And it looked like they're having fun. (But I have to say I like older versions better kasi biased ako hehehe...)

Fatal Posporos played last. I enjoyed this set, too! Ang galing-galing ni Marie! Nico and I both had fun. :-)

*****

It saddened us to hear about Wolfmann's aneurysm. I hope he recovers. *sniff*

Happy-sad friday.

I did my client rounds in Makati again yesterday. Kapagod. I passed by Greenbelt afterwards to buy a couple of tickets to Rockestra, and went to Nico's building to hang out at the 9th floor.

As I approached the elevators I spotted Nico frantically pressing the up button. (He came from the bank and was also on his way to the 9th floor to get something to eat.) We didn't expect to see each other that early in the day so that was a nice surprise for both of us.

*****

I read bits of Momo while Nico slaved away a few floors above me. I had early dinner as well. Nico arrived as I was trying to finish the remains of my pizza.

*****

At the Folk Arts Theatre, I found I was able to get us good seats. Yay!

*****

The concert was a fun thing to experience (to say the least)!

The Manila Symphony Orchestra did a rawkin good performance. The bands did well, too. A few highlights of the show:

  • the horn section during Cambio's set. It reminded me of Style Council hehe... I dunno why. And I loved how they did Lihim.
  • Twisted Halo's #36. Bagay na bagay sa orchestration.
  • Imago's Akap
  • Sandwich's pogo-inducing performance, and
  • Sugar Free's Burnout!!! Gadsh, I think their's was the best set! I just wished the fan girls weren't howling/hooting/screaming during the violin solos, it was just disrupting the emotion of the song. Ang ganda ganda ganda talaga.

*****

After the concert we went to Marina to meet up with Arnold and Honee for a few beers. Sarap talaga ng Strong Ice. Heh heh... ;-)

*****

Ititigil ko na ang kwento. Ayaw kong ipaliwanag kung bakit ako umuwi ng mag-isa ng alas-4 ng umaga.

Delirious.

I have a [sic].

Fever and antihistamines rendered me incoherent. Nico must have been weirded out by my off-tangent and irrelevant comments on the phone last night. We were talking about our new (stray) cat and I said something about 'apple green and mustard shoes'. (What the...?) Nico let me get some rest instead.

*****

Today I made a futile trip to the bank. I should have stayed in bed. :-P

Next week na!!!

Please please support my beloved org's exhibit! Come to the opening and help spread the word!

Touring Exhibit on Animal Freedom

How do wild animals feel about being pets? What do crocodiles have to say about the disappearing forests and wetlands? What do birds think about deforestation?

Haribon Foundation, a membership organization dedicated to nature conservation with the people--for the people, together with Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang I.n.K.), the country's first and only organization of illustrators for children, will try to answer these questions--from the animals' point of view.

Aptly titled "Animalaya", the Ang I.n.K.-Haribon exhibit presents the plight of the country's endemic and endangered animals and the message they have been longing to tell humans. A touring exhibit, it will be on view at the Riverbanks Mall, Marikina City from August 23 to 28, at the Manila International Book Fair, World Trade Center from August 31 to September 4, and selected schools nationwide.

Aside from a showcase of more than 40 artworks by Ang I.n.K. members, fun-filled and educational activities will also be held, such as Meet-the-book-illustrator, Story telling, Art workshops, On-the-spot art contest, and the Haribon HATCH Kids membership launch, all of which are geared towards making children and adults understand the reality the environmental situation and encouraging them on how to take action.

"Animalaya" is made possible with support from the Royal Netherlands Embassy through the A NEST Project for Biodiversity Conservation in the Philippines, and our friends from Riverbanks Center Mall, Manila International Book Fair, Adarna House, Anvil Publishing, Star Paper,Mindgate Systems Inc., Oishi, and Granny Goose.

Why did starshuffler cross the road?

Because she is chicken.

Things I wish I said to others but did not because I didn't have enough guts back then but it doesn't make a difference 'cause I still don't have enough guts now (Part One)

  • It sucks now that we've drifted apart. I miss your company, but sometimes I feel you don't think the same way about me.
  • I liked you. I liked you. I liked you. And there were times when I wondered if you ever liked me back. I wished you just asked me what I really wanted.
  • You sang in my ear and it was the most beautiful sound on earth.

Timezoned.

Nico surprised me with tickets to Actors Actors' Once On This Island today, so we went off to Makati to see it. (Awwwww...)

*****

When you're running late, Makati is the worst place to be. 'Nuff said.

*****

We missed the first three songs of Once.... Star-struck kami kay Kuya Bodjie. He did well as Timoun's father. Bituin Escalante made an excellent Asaka, she pulled off the song numbers really well. Ok rin si Jett as Papa Ge. All in all the show was good. Mejo stark nga lang 'yung production, but that's forgiveable.

This is my fourth time to experience this musical (twice by Rep and once by Company of Players), di pa rin ako nagsasawa. :-)

*****

I accompanied Nico to mass at Greenmeadows after late lunch at Tokyo Tokyo. We saw a lot of familiar faces. Tas na-starstruck kami ulit nung nakita namin si Joey de Leon na nakapila sa communion. Hehe...

*****

We picked up Marnie at Gateway after mass then we headed for Marquinton (concede ka na, Nico), our newest favorite place.

Timezone is evil. We spent a ridiculous sum of money again to play Whack-A-Croc (damn I miss my Whac-a-Mole!!!), Road Hawg, basketball, skee-ball, bowling, House of the Dead 2, Wheel of Fortune, Daytona... you get my drift.

I have now personally resolved to stay away from Timezone for at least two weeks. Good luck sa akin. :-P

Road watch.

Nico and I spent most of yesterday sitting in the car listening to the radio and a bunch of cds.

A radio station aired a lengthy report of the current traffic situation which could have been summed up in two words: Traffic everywhere.

It was really nice of Nico to drive me around the metro. Nico was starting to get grumpy with aching legs. And stupid motorists we were stuck in traffic with continually tried our patience.

It's not all bad, though. I finally finished a project yesterday! YAY! (That's one less Post-It off my desktop. Heh heh...)

After enduring the Marikina-Cainta-QC-EDSA-Magallanes-Libis-Marikina traffic, we settled at Blue Wave and spent over P500 on arcade games (yay for the Gentxt card!). ;-P

It was fuuun.

[Edit: We paid Nico's maternal grandparents a surprise visit in between trips. Ang sweet no? Heh heh ;-j ]

I am Stardust.

Or so this quiz says.

Stardust
You are Stardust! You are whimsical, creative, and
spirited. You might be seen as naive and
foolhardy, which is a little true, but it can
also be called bravery. Youre idealistic and
people might think youre a little off because
you talk about some strange things. You
probably love nature, whether its you love
animals, nature walks or just admiring it from
afar. Youre a creative person and like to write
short stories or poems and draw and paint. You
have a sly, self-depreciating sense of humor
and are a blast to be with because of your
adventurous personality.

Stupid happens.

*sigh* :-(

Commuter's nightmare # 938: I lost my brand new prepaid train card. Great. Just when I know I will badly need it in the next few weeks or so. Grrr.

Then I just got a call from Nico who told me he had some sort of accident coming from my place. It wasn't his fault-- some stupid biker guy took a left at the intersection as the right-of-way vehicle (Nico's car) almost crossed over to the other side of the traffic light. The incident left scratches on the recently repaired car. The guy was so stupid that he lost his rear plate and his registration papers in flight. Nico has them now.

I feel awful, and I feel partly to blame for what happened. (My minutes-old previous post is now insignificant and blah.)

*sigh* :-(

Thoughts while waiting.

I turned on the puter as soon as I got home. It took a while before anyone woke up to open the door for me, but that gave me time to think while sitting on the bumper of the old VW parked in our garage.

As Kitchie and Snowdog (formerly named Barbie, I dunno what happened) happily chewed on my fingers I thought: despite all the worries, the paranoia, the hectic schedule-- I am happy. Really.

I realize, it really takes little to make me happy. A hug. Good music. A few bottles of Strong Ice. The company of friends. Kebs na kung walang pera the following week. It's all good.

Sunday, August 7, 2005

Lakwatcha.

We have new puppies! Thor and Wilmer dropped by the house this afternoon and gave us two cute balls of fur. :-) The kids have started calling them Barbie and Kitchie, and I can't do a thing to stop them. Tsk.

*****

I met up with Kathy today (she happened to be in Marikina for some PBA thing), and we went Marquinton (Nico still insists on calling it by its proper name 'Blue Wave').

We checked out the shops, bought accessories (I got a couple of elastic headbands for the spawn, and hair beads for myself), and hung out at KFC discussing things we regretted wearing in the past:

  • shirts with shoulder pads
  • hooded shirts
  • socks over lace stockings and pumps a la Madonna ('Lumabas ka ng bahay ng naka-ganun?' asked Kathy. Unfortunately, yes.)
  • high-waist baston pants
  • cycling shorts!!! (eeks)
  • Über-large shirts and polo shirts buttoned all the way up to the neck (na naka-tuck sa baston na high waist pants! hahaha)

I am thankful for not owning fashion disasters like acid-wash pants and pink high-cut Reeboks. (An afterthought, really. Admittedly my sense of style's awakening came rather late.) I blame the late 80s and the early 90s for that. Heh heh...

After dinner we watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory *again*. Heheh... It's still funny the second time around. Then someone suddenly showed up in the theater without notice-- Nico! (He was vegging out at home while we were at KFC.) That was certainly a nice surprise. :-) Pati si Kathy nagulat kasi may nakita siyang mama na palapit sa upuan namin. Si Nico pala. Hehe... *kilig*

After the movie Nico spent some time at the Star Wars Trilogy arcade booth at Timezone, while Kathy and I played some ticket-earners. Sayang walang ipis-destroyer (a.k.a. Hammer). :-P

DVD-thon.

After the long I.n.K. meeting yesterday afternoon (which was temporarily relocated to Sct. Limbaga because it's UPCAT weekend), I met up with Nico at Berkley Square Commonwealth. We ate late merienda/early dinner at Wendy's; Nico had shrimp sandwich, and I had the usual-- Bacon Mushroom Melt.

We went to Nico's house afterwards and watched Trainspotting. I've seen it several times, but it was Nico's first time to watch it and he liked it. :-) I did 30 minutes on the treadmill while Renton OD-ed on skag.

Which Trainspotting Character Are You?

We had dinner again (hehe) after the movie. I took a shower while Nico did his turn on the treadmill and watched the Manic Street Preachers DVD. I watched the Graham Coxon DVD extras (an acoustic set and three music videos) when Nico headed for the shower. Before moving on to the next feature film (which was a toss up between The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Henry and June), we watched a bit of Guitar Wars (specifically Nuno's set hehe). I told Nico watching Nuno on video doesn't feel so special anymore, not after our cheek-to-cheek moment at the guitar clinic two months ago. Heh heh... ;-)

We ended up watching most of Henry and June. We didn't bother finishing it as it was getting late and Nico had to take me home and it was becoming a struggle to keep awake after all the jogging. Heh heh... (Papayat na akoooh!!!)

Ang saya tumanga. :-)

How sad.

Look what happened. Masaya ba kayo sa binoto ninyo at dun sa nanalo?)

Sabi ni Nico "unhealthy na maging mabait na pulitiko."

Feel Good, Inc.

I didn't have to go to any meeting today, so I decided to meet up with Nico and his officemates at Greenbelt 3.

The ride to Makati was long, stressful and noisy. It was raining hard when I left the house and I got caught in rush hour traffic. (It almost always happens when you're in a hurry.) Then the loud MRT ride. The driver talked into the mic every two minutes or so, babbling about wet platforms, tinned cans, smoking, eating, grabbing onto handrails, and paged someone's mother to proceed to the Taft station where someone is waiting for her (I didn't know you could page people in the train). To top it all off, he played Martin Nievera singing some James Ingram song very loudly. Just imagine the annoying sound blasting off the PA system. Just like a giant, cheap, battery-operated transistor radio. Argh. If I wasn't in a hurry I'd head over to the administration and file a complaint.

(While I was travelling somewhere between Santolan and Guadalupe, Nico and his officemates were already in the cinema, watching the first 20 or so minutes of Stealth.)

I got off the train in a huff, and took the walkway to Greenbelt. Suddenly people in malls decided to walk slowly in large clumps. Gah.

The movie was okay. Uhm, or at least it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. Mukhang sulit naman para kay Nico. He got the gratuitous token Jessica Biel bikini shot. Heh heh...

*****

I'm currently listening to the new Gorillaz cd (Demon Days) Nico gave me tonight. :-) I like it, but not as much as the first one, or G-Sides. The disc has Copy Control Technology-- a good thing really-- but it kinda sucks that I have to pop this cd in the tray every time I want to listen to it, and I can't have it in rotation with the other stuff I listen to. :-P (No, I'm not complaining, I'm just a bit fussy and tamad is all. Heh heh...)

Time-space warp, ngayon din!

The entire week I thought I had a meeting in Makati tonight. I even begged off watching a movie with Nico and his officemates later because of that. Good thing I had sense enough to text ed-in-chief Karen a few minutes ago to confirm the meeting and tell her that I can't stay for long.

"The meeting is Thursday next week! :-)"

GASP. The thought of knocking on the door of an empty condo like a complete idiot on the wrong Thursday started blinking on and off in my head, and Karen's SMS just saved me from that.

What was I thinking???

*****

I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night. Ang galing-galing ni Johnny Depp. As in. The movie was good, but I couldn't really appreciate it as much as I wanted-- my mind involuntarily kept noting similarities and differences from the Roald Dahl book and the Gene Wilder flick. I think I should see this movie again and enjoy it as it is. Danny Elfman certainly spiced up the Oompa-loompa song and dance numbers. :-D

*****

After a text apology and a thank you, I get another reply from Karen: "You're still in the Chocolate Factory."

*****

This takes me back to the 80s and all those cartoons on t.v. I devoured, no matter how crappy they were (if they were, indeed, crappy). Those programs were peppered with all sorts of junkfood commercials (bakit wala nang Beef Curry Curls???). Then there was my favorite: the Goya commercial. That Willy Wonka rip-off had me fooled. I thought there really was a Goya Fun Factory. Bwiset.

(I was devastated to find out months after, on a school field trip, that Goya was just like any other factory. No rivers of chocolate, no Oompa-Loompas. Sob.)

Goya, the-chocolate-factory-that-is-now-owned-by-Nestlé, I forgive you for that. But only if you bring back the Puffi-cone. :-P

IBALIK NINYO ANG PUFFI-CONE!!!

I started my Monday early with brisk walking/jogging and running errands. (O di ba, may nagawa na ako, nakapag-exercise pa ako hehe...) Made a quick trip to the mall for printer ink, then went home hungry. (I realized I left the house without eating anything. Olats.)

I plan to walk/jog at least twice a week. I need to lose a few inches. Must. Stop. Wearing. Fat. Pants. NOW!

Ang kulit ni Marnie. She kept bugging me all afternoon to meet up somewhere. I finally gave in (actually I was bribed ahaha), and we met up at the Blue Wave (I call it Marquinton 'cause, uhm, I want to).

We took a quick tour around the relatively new mall, checked out some shops. I found that watching a movie costs P100, and that there's a Timezone station outside the cinemas! Woohoo! :-D (Sana may ipis destroyer na game! Di ko natignan kung meron. Tsk.)

Marnie and I checked the cd stands near the jeepney stops before going home. I got a Manic Street Preachers DVD! Yay! :-)

Hectic sked later. Time to hit the sack.
