Hectic!

I'm really, really tired and sleepy, but I can't go to bed until I finish some work. (I'll be out the whole day today and won't be able to work or e-mail from home.) :-P Now that I've just sent last minute revisions to my client I might as well update this blog.

Monday.

I was supposed to run a bank errand for I.n.K. but lactose intolerance got the better of me. Buti na lang College Secretary si Totet at may sarili siyang banyo sa kanyang office. :-P

After temporary toilet relief, I helped fix acrylic panel framing with the other InKies. As soon as we finished more than half of the artworks, Sir Mel, Cons and I went ahead to Riverbanks for our exhibit ingress. Several other InKies came to help. We made rubber foam leaf cut outs. I had fun doing the grass and the water. We stayed until 12:30 in the morning frantically trying to finish the set up. Di pala kaya. :-P

Tuesday.

I woke up very early. Made a quick trip to the bank then headed for Riverbanks. The mall was still closed when I got there but I waved my ingress ID at the guard. He let me in.

As soon as two or three others more arrived we resumed set up. We cut more multi-colored leaves and hung the rest of the rubber foam animals. Liza and I had Greco all over our fingers (I almost permanently glued my fingers together). I bought a scrapbook and turned it into an instant guestbook. When I left sometime after 2 in the afternoon we weren't even done yet.

I went home wet from the rain. I took a shower and had a change of clothes then I went back to Riverbanks. Last minute set-up panic ensued. Songs were sung, speeches were delivered, and it was all over.

[insert sigh of relief here]

The event went well, despite set-backs and last minute changes. Thanks to friends and family who made it to the exhibit opening. :-)

Wednesday.

Work work work. I waded through several MBs of files and backlog e-mails.

In the evening I went back to the exhibit venue. Met up with Nico and Kathy, then we had dinner at Greenwich.

Yesterday.

I tried to stay away from Timezone. I failed miserably. Heh heh...

I came from this month's Last Full Show gig a couple of hours ago. (Thank you, Jeff, for the safe ride home!) The gig was fun, but after two bottles of Strong Ice (and heavy dinner with Nico and Kathy a bit earlier) I was already feeling cold and sleepy. I went outside to thaw. After the last band's set (Blast Ople), we hung out for a bit before leaving. No more beers for me. Coke light na lang. How manang is that, huh? ;-P

Also yesterday, I finally got to submit my mug design (it's a two-color chibi-type bat) for Animalaya. (I was offline for two days eh.) Nico said the bat looked like a teddy bear. Kathy said so, too. I told them it's because it's a golden-crowned flying fox-- unlike common bats, its snout is pointed like a fox's (duh, kaya nga flying fox eh! Hehe...).

(More trivia: The flying fox is the largest bat in the world, and is endemic to the Philippines. Unfortunately, these creatures are threatened by extinction due to depletion of rainforests/illegal logging/deforestation and poaching.)

Di ko na i-upload 'yung drawing dito. Bili na lang kayo ng mugs. Hehehe... :-D

Later.

I have more bank errands. Then I have to make follow-up calls to government offices. Then shopping for supplies for Saturday's art contest. It's going to be a long day. :-P
