I just got home from my long Saturday. I am very tired and sleepy, but it seemes I've regained second wind.

I was at Riverbanks at around 9:20 a.m. Registration was very hectic. We mostly ate on-site. (I'm starting to get sick of fast food.) I was glad Kuya Robert was there to assist with the hosting chores. And a number of Inkie volunteers showed up. And Nico was a real gem to help us out, kahit hindi naman siya member ng Ang I.n.K.
We kicked off the event with a storytelling session with Irma Adlawan. Na-starstruck kami! Hehe... (I'll post pictures as soon as I get them from Kuya Robert, Hubert and Liza. It sucks not to have a camera.)
The art contest started with 20 kids. The number of participants more than tripled come the second session. Parang mga gremlin!!! Dumami sila pagkatapos umulan. At magugulo pa! I had to fill in with the hosting in the afternoon, to keep idle kids from disrupting the ongoing contest. By late afternoon, my throat was sore, and my right shoulder and arm were in pain (I was being pulled by kids in different directions during the insta-contests and insta-workshops).
May part na masungit na ako ng slight, dahil marami talagang mga bata na pasaway. But I didn't lose my temper. Fortunately.
Ateneo Grade School and Lourdes School of QC dominated the winners list. Seeing one mother's face as her son's name was called as the first prize winner was precious. It certainly made all our efforts worth it. :-)
We finished a little before 7pm. Gutom na gutom na ako. Hindi kasi kami nakapag-merienda dahil super hectic talaga. I suggested we grab real dinner at SuperBowl Marquinton. They all agreed. Yay.
Nico and I went to check movie skeds after dinner. The rest went home. There weren't tickets available anymore for the movie we wanted to see, so we decided to hang out at Timezone instead. (There was some sort of internal debate whether I should succumb or not, but I kind of ignored it. Heh heh...)
We played several rounds of linked basketball. I won every single game over Nico! Heh heh heh... Nico tried to finish the Star Wars Trilogy game, but he ran out of credits during the last few stages. He got to beat Darth Vader though, so I think that made him happy. Heh heh...
I think Timezone was a good idea. I would've slept through a movie if we saw one. I was semi-conscious on the way home.

Okay. That's it for now. Second wind is over.
