Finally.

After three long years, I took the shrinkwrap off my copy of American Gods! (It breathes!)

I bought it long ago, soon after its release, and I placed it underneath the pile of old-new books that have yet to be read. (A lot of them still remain unread until now; lately I have been rereading old books and finishing borrowed ones so I could return them immediately.) I wanted to read something new this time. It was a toss up between Murakami's Wind Up Bird Chronicle (Nico's copy, bought last December, still in shrinkwrap) and Gaiman's American Gods.

I took the latter from the middle of the stack and removed the torn plastic film off it. I found myself breezing through the third chapter in no time.

Nico is off jogging. We might see each other today and watch Under The Tuscan Sun on DVD (yesterday it was Tykwer's Run Lola Run on pirated VCD). Something to look forward to today. :-)
